Air Drier Filter

The air drier filter contains silica (dehumidifying particles), which removes moisture from the air generated by the vehicle’s air compressor, protecting and guaranteeing the pneumatic and brake circuit.

What is the replacement period?

Follow the recommendations in the vehicle manufacturer’s manual. The air drier filter should be checked every 60,000 km. Check for water and oil residue in the center of the filter (air outlet) and change it.

What can happen if the filter is not changed?

A saturated filter can compromise the functioning of the brake system, as the pneumatic galleries are moistened with water particles, which can lead to internal corrosion, risks of accidents and higher maintenance costs with the replacement of the APU valve.

When changing the filter, depressurize the air system. When starting the vehicle, let the reservoir charge at idle speed and do not accelerate, as this will damage the APU valve.
